We were blessed as family to be able to go visit my grandmother for her 93rd birthday. I spent many, many summers growing up at my grandparent's house. For my children to be able to experience her love and quick wit truly makes my heart happy. She has been ill since last fall and now is in palliative care but has lived a long life and I now appreciate even more the stories that she has shared with me over the years. The bottom part of this page documents the first day of our "staycation".
